Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lev Davidovitch Bronstein (ranked 1876 p4p, 79 weight class) and Javier Vasquez (ranked 2232 p4p, 92 weight class). Vasquez has chosen Faster Disco as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Javier Vasquez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lev Davidovitch Bronstein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Javier Vasquez! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bronstein looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. It seemed like Vasquez was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Bronstein. No joy there for Vasquez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bronstein misses with a takedown attempt - Vasquez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lev Davidovitch Bronstein. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vasquez lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Lev Davidovitch Bronstein has been cut. Bronstein closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vasquez circles away. Vasquez changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Bronstein avoids a punch combination nicely.
Vasquez feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bronstein sprawling to the canvas! Bronstein rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Vasquez finish him?!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vasquez tries to sprawl but Bronstein drives through with a takedown into half guard. Vasquez is looking to improve his position.
Ground and pound from Bronstein. Vasquez actively working from the bottom here. Bronstein scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasquez looks like he's trying to stand up.
Bronstein takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Vasquez is not content to let Bronstein control the position. Vasquez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bronstein pulls his head out easily. Vasquez looking for submissions off his back. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bronstein connects with a nice short shot to Vasquez's temple. Bronstein content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Bronstein looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vasquez with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Vasquez wants to improve his position but Bronstein is controlling well.
Bronstein throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasquez wants to control but Bronstein is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bronstein missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Vasquez taking some punishment here, with Bronstein in his half guard. Vasquez is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vasquez avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Bronstein. Bronstein not landing any meaningful shots this time. Vasquez is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bronstein pulls his head out easily. Vasquez controlling the position for now. Bronstein has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bronstein wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vasquez keeps working. Vasquez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Ground and pound from Bronstein. Bronstein passes to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bronstein is looking to take a break and control but Vasquez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Vasquez is trying to buck Bronstein off. Bronstein works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Bronstein scoring with punches and elbows.
Vasquez is rocked! The crowd goes nuts as Bronstein knocks Vasquez out cold with a massive hammerfist! Bronstein Jumps to his feet and climbs on top of the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Lev Davidovitch Bronstein was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed. In defeat, Javier Vasquez stepped up to the mic, saying 'Can't lie, he got me good. He has my number, no bones about it. Hats off to him.'.
