Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Jack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Namvar Khoramov! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khoramov misses with a low kick. Jack really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jack blocks a head kick by Khoramov.
Khoramov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jack was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Jack slips a jab and a cross from Khoramov.
Khoramov throws a head kick that misses. Khoramov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Khoramov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A head kick from Khoramov lands but Jack takes it in his stride. Khoramov throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jack tries to counter by clinching up but Khoramov breaks away and moves out of range. Khoramov throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Jack wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Khoramov throws a head kick but Jack moves out of range.
Jack half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Khoramov misses with a combination
and Jack counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jack. Khoramov has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Khoramov is trying to keep an underhook but Jack manages to get the takedown into half guard. Jack has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Khoramov defend it? Jack steps over the head and cranks it - Khoramov is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Jack!
