Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 4815 p4p, 0 weight class) and Von Xavier (ranked 4848 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mauricio Rua!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua avoids the head kick by Xavier.
A head kick misses from Rua.
Rua doesn't manage to clinch there - Xavier circles away.
Rua throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Xavier swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Xavier moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rua takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Rua closes the distance and clinches.
Rua with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Rua is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Xavier is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Xavier tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rua smiles and moves away.
Rua takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rua moves out of range of the body kick from Xavier.
A jab lands there for Xavier.
Rua shoots in looking for a takedown but Xavier manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rua's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Rua wants to clinch.
Xavier appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Xavier throws a nice outside leg kick.
Rua blocks the body kick.
Rua is looking to counter with head kicks.
Xavier changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rua tries to avoid it but Xavier manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rua to the ground. Rua escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rua tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Xavier manages to circle out of the way.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rua avoids the head kick by Xavier.
Rua is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Xavier misses with a combination
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Xavier throws a hook but Rua avoids it easily.
Xavier misses with a series of wild punches.
Rua seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Rua blocks a head kick by Xavier.
Rua is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rua looks for a takedown but Xavier sprawls well.
Xavier is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Xavier shoots in but no luck this time.
Mauricio Rua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Von Xavier.
Xavier is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rua's half guard.
Xavier looks winded!
Rua is controlling Xavier's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Xavier thows an elbow strike that misses. Rua gets hold of full guard and has managed to get a loose guillotine attempt. Xavier doesn't seem too bothered but Rua quickly shifts his position and has tightened the hold! Xavier is in big trouble now - he's going a funny colour - he's tapping out! Nice finish there! Xavier really should have spotted the danger earlier though... either incompetence or over-confidence has resulted in a big L on his record.
