Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert McPherson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenpachi Zaraki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McPherson comes to the cage accompanied by Flight of the Conchords - Bret's Angry Dance. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenpachi Zaraki! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McPherson stalks Zaraki and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Zaraki's face. Zaraki staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Kenpachi Zaraki has been cut. Nice takedown defense from McPherson. No joy for Zaraki on that attempt. McPherson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. McPherson connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Zaraki momentarily.

McPherson throws a right hand that Zaraki ducks under and follows up with a left that Zaraki also avoids with ease. McPherson instigates a clinch. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zaraki pulls guard successfully.
McPherson postures up in Zaraki's guard and throws a big left but Zaraki blocks it. McPherson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Zaraki looking to hit a scissor sweep but McPherson is one step ahead there. McPherson throwing strikes from guard but Zaraki blocks nicely.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Zaraki shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. McPherson throws a leg kick but Zaraki sees it coming and moves out of range. Zaraki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McPherson's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Zaraki stops McPherson from standing up. Zaraki advances to half guard. Zaraki seems to be looking for submissions.

Zaraki eventually gives up the hold. Zaraki not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. McPherson is looking to escape. McPherson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. McPherson tries to get to full guard but Zaraki has control of the leg. Zaraki is working for a submission of some sort.
Zaraki looks gassed! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. McPherson wants to get back to his feet.

McPherson lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Zaraki wants to control but McPherson is keeping him busy. Zaraki is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. McPherson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

McPherson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zaraki moves out of range and avoids them all easily. That's four minutes gone in the round. Zaraki slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. McPherson is looking to reverse the position. McPherson bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Zaraki shoots in but no luck this time. McPherson throws a series of punches but Zaraki avoids them all with ease. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McPherson tries to clinch up. McPherson misses with a takedown and Zaraki decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McPherson's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenpachi Zaraki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Kenpachi Zaraki's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McPherson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. McPherson scores with a sloppy right hand. Zaraki should have avoided that one. McPherson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Zaraki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. McPherson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. McPherson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McPherson. Zaraki blocks a head kick by McPherson.

McPherson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zaraki closes this distance looking for a takedown but McPherson circles away. McPherson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A combination from McPherson does no damage. McPherson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
