Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Rogers (ranked 24941 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Oneill (ranked 4582 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wayne Rogers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Oneill! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Oneill tries to avoid it but Rogers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Oneill to the ground. Oneill escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Oneill gets a double leg takedown into Rogers's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Oneill throws a big elbow that misses. Oneill throws a big right hand that misses. Oneill wants to pass the guard but Rogers is keeping the position. Rogers really is a fat lump. Oneill passes easily into side control. Nice work. Oneill prevents Rogers from escaping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rogers is trying to escape the position but Oneill is controlling the position. Oneill is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rogers is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oneill is looking to take a break and control but Rogers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rogers can't do much from the bottom here. Oneill taking a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Oneill decides to stand back up. Oneill steps back and let's Rogers get back to his feet. Oneill shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rogers is trying to defend but Oneill finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Rogers pushes Oneill off and gets back to his feet. Oneill drives through with a takedown into guard. Oneill trying to control but Rogers is working from the bottom. Oneill content to stall in guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oneill trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Oneill controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rogers had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Oneill defends it easily. Oneill trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Rogers manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rogers would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rogers won't allow Oneill to sweep him here. Rogers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Oneill works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Oneill working a defensive guard here.
Oneill looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kevin Oneill will probably get the nod. That's time! Rogers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Rogers is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Oneill throws a right and a left that both miss. Rogers scores with a takedown into Oneill's guard. Oneill manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Rogers shoots in but no luck this time. A low kick from Rogers misses and Oneill counters with a one-two to the body. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rogers doesn't succeed with the takedown and Oneill counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Oneill. Rogers taking a breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rogers jumps guard.
Oneill must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rogers can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Oneill controls the pace. Oneill looking to sit in guard and control but Rogers gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Oneill. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Oneill seems keen to control Rogers's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Let's hope that Oneill has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oneill trying to keep a closed guard but Rogers is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rogers in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Rogers trying to control the position from guard on top but Oneill is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Oneill pushes Rogers off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Oneill gets in close and instigates a clinch. Rogers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Oneill throws a leg kick and Rogers counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Oneill! Oneill throws Rogers to one side and escapes! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oneill bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rogers explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Wayne Rogers is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Rogers gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Oneill is standing up over Rogers. Rogers looks to escape but Oneill dives into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oneill stands up and we're back to a striking position. Oneill moves into the clinch. Oneill has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rogers tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Oneill smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wayne Rogers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oneill shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Rogers is looking to counter the offense by Oneill and move into the clinch. Oneill throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. A jab lands there for Oneill. Oneill misses with a kick to the body.
Oneill closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Rogers bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Oneill gets in close and instigates a clinch. Oneill turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Oneill manages to end up in side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Oneill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Oneill throws a head kick that misses. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rogers decides to pull guard. Oneill stands up and waves to Rogers to follow him. Rogers changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oneill looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Oneill explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kevin Oneill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Rogers with a lazy takedown attempt enabling Oneill to counter with a crisp jab. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Oneill goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oneill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rogers sneaks back into half guard. Rogers trying to hold on to Oneill's head to control him but Oneill postures up.
Oneill prevents Rogers from improving his position. Oneill missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oneill throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Oneill stalling. Oneill thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rogers's head. Oneill not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Oneill controlling the action here. Kevin Oneill has got the better of the ground game so far. Rogers keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oneill takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Oneill is looking for a kimura here.
Oneill not landing any meaningful shots this time. Oneill throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Oneill trying to control the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. A momentary lapse in concentration from Rogers enables Oneill to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rogers manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Rogers wriggles free and stands up. Oneill shoots in and gets a takedown into Rogers's guard. Oneill controls from within his opponent's guard. Oneill stands up from Rogers's guard - Oneill perhaps looking for a knockout.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Oneill comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Oneill has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
