Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Korn Gracie (ranked 6455 p4p, 560 weight class) and Rory Rothstein (ranked 3917 p4p, 438 weight class). Rory Rothstein will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Korn Gracie! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rory Rothstein! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rothstein thuds a left hand into Gracie's body. Gracie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rothstein is fending him off so far but Gracie persists. Nope, Rothstein circles away and we're back to standing. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown but Rothstein manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gracie's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Gracie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rothstein manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rothstein shoots in and gets a takedown into Gracie's guard. Rothstein throwing strikes but missing. Rothstein avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Gracie is looking for a triangle but Rothstein pushes his legs off easily.
Rothstein is fighting to break Gracie's control of his arms but Gracie is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Rothstein really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Rothstein scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is pulling down on Rothstein's head. It's preventing any offense from Rothstein, at least for the moment. Gracie wants to sweep here but Rothstein controlling him for the moment. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rothstein gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rothstein got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rothstein has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Rothstein is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rothstein stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rothstein gets in close and instigates a clinch. Gracie goes for a takedown attempt but Rothstein pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Korn Gracie. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gracie. Gracie shoots in but no luck this time. Gracie shoots in but no luck this time. Rothstein has Gracie up against the cage in a clinch.
Rothstein decides to pull guard. Rothstein trying to strike off his back.
Gracie looking to pass the guard. Rothstein keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rothstein looking for a guillotine here but Gracie defends easily.
Gracie lands a couple of elbows. Gracie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rothstein has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gracie has managed to get both his arms back between Rothstein's legs - danger averted. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gracie's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gracie slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Rothstein is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gracie connects with a decent elbow. Gracie misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Gracie looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rothstein misses with a strike from the bottom. Gracie has hold of Rothstein's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rothstein tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Rothstein screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rothstein, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Korn Gracie!
