Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marchiano Giovinazzi (ranked 6107 p4p, 0 weight class) and Idris Onolunose (ranked 5920 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giovinazzi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Onolunose pinned against the cage. Onolunose gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Giovinazzi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Onolunose is fending him off so far but Giovinazzi persists. Nope, Onolunose circles away and we're back to standing.
Onolunose scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Onolunose can do anything to dispel that myth.

Onolunose working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Giovinazzi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Giovinazzi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Giovinazzi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Giovinazzi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Giovinazzi seems to have locked his on tight now - Onolunose screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Giovinazzi, as he picks up the win!
