13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlotos Spiteri! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dimelo scores with a three punch combo!
Dimelo throws a head kick but Spiteri moves out of range.
Dimelo scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Spiteri beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dimelo throws a leg kick that misses. Spiteri scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Spiteri cracks Dimelo with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Spiteri is looking to clinch but Dimelo is avoiding it.
We've been informed that Spiteri has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Crunch! Spiteri slams his shin into Dimelo's torso. Spiteri connects with a looping right hand.
Carlotos Spiteri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Spiteri finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Dimelo misses with a hook. Spiteri steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Spiteri ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dimelo fails with an attempt to clinch.

Dimelo throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Spiteri sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dimelo lands with a kick to the temple. Spiteri shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Dimelo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Dimelo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Dimelo is stalking his opponent - BOOM! Switch kick out of nowhere! Spiteri is not moving; he is out cold!! Wow, what a quick finish that was.
