Tamata is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Get Up . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eduardo Britt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alekanekelo Tamata!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Tamata.
Tamata sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Britt is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Britt is trying to control Tamata's posture but Tamata avoids it.
Britt takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Tamata working the body and head with strikes.
Tamata working away.
Britt sneaks back into half guard.
Tamata throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tamata wants to pass to mount but Britt is defending the position.
Britt wants to control but Tamata is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tamata is looking to stall here but Britt recovers full guard.
Britt controls Tamata momentarily but Tamata frees himself.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tamata accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tamata is working Britt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Britt has his hands on Tamata's head, controlling the position.
Tamata trying to control but Britt is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tamata accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tamata landing with the ground and pound.
Britt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Tamata throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tamata looking to sit in guard and control but Britt gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Tamata keeping moving, preventing Britt from controlling successfully.
Tamata wants to stand but Britt is controlling the position.

Britt being controlled here momentarily.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Tamata decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Britt trying to hold on to Tamata's head to control him but Tamata postures up.
Britt throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Tamata is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Britt defends it well.
Britt has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tamata is working away from the top position though.
Tamata wants to take a breather but Britt is having none of it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Britt regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Tamata.
Tamata is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alekanekelo Tamata dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Tamata pushes Britt up against the cage in a clinch.

Tamata has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Tamata escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Eduardo Britt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Britt misses with a left hand
and Tamata counters with a one-two to the body.


Britt is rocked!
Tamata steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Britt is out on his feet! Tamata sets himself and nearly takes Britt's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alekanekelo Tamata!
