Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rakeem Marley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vin Sentiments!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marley with a lazy takedown attempt
and Sentiments counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Marley throws a combination that misses
and Sentiments counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Marley takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Marley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sentiments's guard.
Sentiments is looking to stand back up but Marley counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sentiments.

Marley not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Sentiments pushes Marley off looking to stand but Marley dives back in and keeps control.
Marley tries to pass to full mount but Sentiments defends it.
Sentiments is looking to improve his position.
Sentiments is trying to stand.

Sentiments is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Marley scores with a couple of nice shots.
Marley with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Sentiments tries to get to full guard but Marley has control of the leg.
Sentiments wants to control but Marley is keeping busy.
Marley slows the pace down in half guard.
Marley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Marley is taking a breather. Sentiments says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Marley is looking to take a break and control but Sentiments is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sentiments tries to roll over but Marley keeps him under control.
Sentiments is looking to escape.

Marley stands up out of the half guard.

Marley scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sentiments can do anything to dispel that myth.

Marley is trying to control the action in half guard but Sentiments is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Marley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Marley seems to be looking for submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Marley rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sentiments moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Nice defenses there by Marley.

Marley has taken the fight to the clinch.

Marley manages to break the clinch.
Sentiments dips to his left and cracks Marley with an uppercut!

Sentiments is looking to stand back up but Marley counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Sentiments.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Sentiments really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marley is thwarting Sentiments's attempts to control the position.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Ground and pound from Marley.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sentiments is looking to improve his position.
Marley content to control rather than advance.

Marley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sentiments has managed to free his arm - good work.
Marley sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sentiments defending well though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Marley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Marley is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Sentiments is looking to get back to is feet but Marley passes into side control.
Marley misses with the ground and pound.
Sentiments managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Marley.
Marley is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sentiments can do to turn this around?

Marley stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Marley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sentiments defends well and Marley ends up having to push Sentiments into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Sentiments is breathing heavily.
Marley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Marley misses with a takedown attempt - Sentiments sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Marley moves into the clinch.
Vin Sentiments has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Marley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sentiments misses the jab.
Marley shoots in for a takedown but Sentiments shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sentiments slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Marley takes the fight into the clinch.

Marley has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sentiments uses from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marley trying to keep a closed guard but Sentiments is proving a slippery customer.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marley is on top in guard.

Marley has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Marley stands up and waves to Sentiments to follow him.
Marley fails to land the takedown.
Sentiments swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Marley throws a half hearted mid kick.
Marley has his takedown stuffed
and Sentiments counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rakeem Marley. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Marley looks for a takedown but Sentiments sprawls well.
As Marley backs off Sentiments throws a huge counter combo but Marley manages to avoid it all.
Marley moves to clinch but Sentiments breaks away
and Sentiments cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Marley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sentiments, pushing him back against the cage.

Marley breaks from the clinch.
Sentiments throws a jab but it's blocked by Marley.
Marley shoots in but Sentiments avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nice sprawl there from Sentiments as Marley shoots in.
Rakeem Marley is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Sentiments throws the left hand but Marley avoids the punch easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Rakeem Marley.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
