Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nils Ushakow (ranked 7216 p4p, 530 weight class) and Roland Charlemange (ranked 6297 p4p, 501 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nils Ushakow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Roland Charlemange! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ushakow shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Charlemange looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Charlemange darts in looking for a takedown but Ushakow gets double underhooks and turns Charlemange into the ropes. Ushakow ducks under a wild hook from Charlemange. Ushakow connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Charlemange stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Charlemange wants it to stay on the feet. Charlemange displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ushakow. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nils Ushakow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Charlemange shoots in for a takedown but Ushakow shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ushakow. Charlemange leaves Ushakow with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Charlemange shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Charlemange was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Ushakow sneaks out the side door and pushes Charlemange away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ushakow is looking to clinch. Ushakow has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Ushakow misses with a takedown attempt and Charlemange counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ushakow is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ushakow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Charlemange is defending against the submission attempts here by Ushakow.
Ushakow is trying to control the action in half guard but Charlemange is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ushakow not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ushakow is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Charlemange wants to control but Ushakow is keeping busy.

Charlemange keeping moving, preventing Ushakow from controlling successfully. Ushakow wants to stand but Charlemange is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Charlemange looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ushakow postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Ushakow sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ushakow thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Charlemange is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ushakow tries to close the distance and clinch up but Charlemange swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Charlemange dives in and scores a takedown into Ushakow's guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Charlemange won't allow Ushakow to sweep him here. Charlemange lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Charlemange postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Charlemange working some strikes from top position. Charlemange really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ushakow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Charlemange sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ushakow's guard. Ushakow taking some punishment here, with Charlemange in his half guard.
Ushakow is rocked! Ushakow is breathing heavily. Charlemange not doing much here.

Charlemange is trying to control the action in half guard but Ushakow is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Ushakow is trying to stand up here but Charlemange is controlling him well. Ushakow seems to have got his legs back now. Ushakow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Charlemange working Ushakow over with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Roland Charlemange will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Charlemange is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ushakow. Ushakow uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Charlemange. Ushakow throws a lazy head kick and Charlemange shoots in, scooping Ushakow off his feet. Charlemange is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Ushakow to the mat and Ushakow is in big trouble! Charlemange is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Charlemange is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
