Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Chancellor (ranked 5385 p4p, 526 weight class) and Nic Sella (ranked 6801 p4p, 567 weight class). Sella has chosen Warm up as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Chancellor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nic Sella! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sella blocks a head kick by Chancellor.
Sella looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sella lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Chancellor circles away quickly and effectively. Sella shoots for a takedown but Chancellor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Chancellor clinches up against the ropes. Sella swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Chancellor manages to break the clinch.
Chancellor moves out of range as Sella throws a body kick.
Chancellor uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Sella fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Chancellor, pushing him back against the ropes. Chancellor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sella pulls him back up using the underhooks. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sella has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Chancellor manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Chancellor is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Chancellor wants to get back to his feet but Sella is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Chancellor trying to keep a closed guard but Sella is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sella stops Chancellor from standing up. Chancellor looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sella is one step ahead there. Chancellor looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Chancellor is trying to control the position but Sella postures up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Chancellor pulls Sella in to control the position.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Chancellor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sella looks to land a combination. Chancellor sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chancellor throws a sloppy head kick and Sella moves out of range easily. Sella closes the distance and clinches. Chancellor breaks the clinch.
Chancellor shoots in looking for a takedown but Sella manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Chancellor's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Chancellor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chancellor moves into the clinch. Chancellor wants a takedown.

Chancellor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chancellor with a lazy takedown attempt and Sella counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fight moves into the clinch position. Chancellor pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chancellor misses with a leg kick. Nic Sella seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sella tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chancellor swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sella takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Sella closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes. Chancellor has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Sella uses from the top position. Chancellor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Chancellor wants to sweep but no luck. Chancellor has control of Sella's left arm, preventing Sella from doing any damage. Chancellor wants to sweep here but Sella controlling him for the moment.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Chancellor lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Chancellor prevents Sella from getting back to his feet. Chancellor trying to control but Sella is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jason Chancellor will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.
Chancellor lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Sella misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Chancellor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sella defends it nicely. Sella closes the distance looking to clinch and Chancellor counters with a three punch combo that has Sella backing up. Sella nods at Chancellor to acknowledge the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sella stuffs the takedown attempt from Chancellor. Chancellor gets slowly back to his feet. Sella is breathing heavily. Danga de danga de dang - Chancellor scores with a four punch combination!
Sella is rocked! Chancellor gets in close and instigates a clinch. Sella is still on wobbly legs! Can Chancellor finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice elbow from Chancellor. Chancellor tries to break the clinch but Sella is controlling the position. Chancellor blocks the elbow strike.

Sella seems to have recovered his senses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Chancellor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chancellor blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Chancellor jumps guard but Sella turns him against the ropes and keeps the fight standing. Sella is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Chancellor is keeping busy. Chancellor tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sella breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sella tries to clinch up. Chancellor gets tackled into the ropes by Sella. Sella maintains the clinch. Chancellor has a couple of punches blocked by Sella.
Chancellor lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sella backwards. Chancellor breaks the clinch.
Sella slaps away a takedown attempt from Chancellor, before circling back to the center of the mat. Chancellor gets in close and instigates a clinch. Chancellor is trying to break the clinch but Sella has him pressed against the ropes. Chancellor is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sella is defending well. Sella misses with a short punch on the inside.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chancellor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sella has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Chancellor as Sella tries to tie him up. Chancellor is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sella can do to turn this around? Chancellor is looking to take this one to the mat. Chancellor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sella rushes Chancellor and presses him up against the ropes. Chancellor breaks the clinch.
Sella tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Chancellor changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sella tries to avoid it but Chancellor manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sella to the ground. Sella escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Chancellor clinches. Chancellor's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Chancellor tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sella swivels and escapes. Chancellor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sella tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Chancellor paws at him with a jab and circles away. Chancellor tries to clinch up but Sella circles away and keeps his distance. Sella fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Sella throws a series of punches but Chancellor moves out of range. Sella stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sella wants it to stay on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chancellor. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jason Chancellor dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chancellor not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

On your feet son! Chancellor swats away the attempt to clinch by Sella. Chancellor is looking to clinch but Sella is avoiding it.
Sella moves into range and clinches up with Chancellor. Chancellor is looking to take this one to the mat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Chancellor. That's going to take a lot out of him. Chancellor is trying to force a seperation but Sella has the dominant position. Sella stops a takedown attempt from Chancellor.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chancellor is trying to pull guard but Sella turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch. Chancellor drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sella pulls his leg out and moves away.
Sella keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Sella closes the distance and clinches. Chancellor wants a takedown but no success here.

Sella breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sella tries to clinch up but Chancellor circles away and keeps his distance. Sella fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chancellor avoids it really well and circles away. Chancellor moves into the clinch. Chancellor can't get the takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chancellor has Sella pressed against the ropes, preventing Sella from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Chancellor breaks the clinch.
Chancellor moves into range and clinches up with Sella. Chancellor wants a takedown but no success here.
Chancellor drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sella pulls his leg out and moves away.
Chancellor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sella rushes Chancellor and presses him up against the ropes. Chancellor is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sella tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Chancellor avoids it. Jason Chancellor is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Sella creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Chancellor's defenses.
And that's the end of the fight! Nic Sella comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Chancellor has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
