Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ruslan Temirov (ranked 24917 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Dawsari (ranked 3321 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ruslan Temirov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruslan Temirov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abdullah Dawsari! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Temirov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Horrible takedown attempt by Temirov or perhaps it was just good defense by Dawsari, which made it look bad. Temirov fails in his attempt to clinch. Dawsari feints and as Temirov raises his hands in defense, Dawsari changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Dawsari's corner is telling him to maintain position. Dawsari working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Temirov's head. Dawsari would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Dawsari throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dawsari wants to pass the guard but Temirov is keeping the position. Dawsari is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dawsari accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Temirov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Temirov gets caught napping as Dawsari dives in and scores a takedown. Temirov manages to retain guard. Dawsari landing with the ground and pound. Dawsari postures up.
Dawsari wants to stand but Temirov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dawsari looking to pass the guard. Dawsari must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Temirov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Dawsari scoring with punches to the head and body. Dawsari is stalling in the full guard. Dawsari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Temirov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dawsari stops Temirov from standing up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Dawsari looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Temirov! Temirov is looking for a sweep. Temirov is letting Dawsari control him for a moment. Dawsari tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Dawsari fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Temirov wants to control but Dawsari postures up. Temirov wants to get back to his feet. Dawsari is working Temirov over with some ground and pound from side control. Dawsari working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. You can see the frustration on Temirov's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abdullah Dawsari dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
No luck for Temirov with that takedown attempt. Temirov shoots for a double leg takedown but Dawsari sprawls well. He's pushed Temirov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Temirov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dawsari as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruslan Temirov. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Temirov with that takedown attempt. A momentary lapse in concentration from Temirov enables Dawsari to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Temirov manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Dawsari wants to pass the guard but Temirov is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dawsari is in close to Temirov's body, working some short punches and elbows. Dawsari wants to stand but Temirov is controlling his posture from full guard. Temirov is trying to control the position but Dawsari postures up. Dawsari is stalling in the full guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Temirov is trying to control the position but Dawsari postures up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Dawsari shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Dawsari is nestled in close to Temirov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Dawsari looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Dawsari lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Temirov tries to roll over but Dawsari keeps him under control.

Dawsari wants to work for an arm triangle but Temirov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dawsari seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Temirov looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Dawsari slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Dawsari stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dawsari wants it to stay on the feet. Dawsari shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dawsari showed some decent athleticism there. Dawsari wants to stand up but Temirov is controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Abdullah Dawsari showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Dawsari leaves Temirov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dawsari forces Temirov back against the cage and clinches. Dawsari taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Dawsari moves into the clinch. Dawsari breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dawsari closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Temirov to the mat! Temirov manages to get full guard. Dawsari loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Temirov preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dawsari wants to stand but Temirov is controlling his posture from full guard. Dawsari is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Let's hope that Dawsari has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Dawsari has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Temirov is proving hard to escape from.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Temirov actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dawsari is nestled in close to Temirov, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that's the end of the fight! Abdullah Dawsari comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Dawsari has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
