Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

24 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Solomon Nao!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Nao lands an impressive looking overhand right. Alzado doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Lyle Alzado has been cut.
Alzado throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nao holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alzado lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
It looks like Solomon Nao has been cut.
Nao cracks Alzado with a nice body shot.
Nao is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Nao lands a shot to the body.
Nao pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Alzado swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nao counters with a nice body kick.
Alzado is breathing heavily.
Alzado slips a jab from Nao.
Nao with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Alzado loads up on a big right hand but Nao slips the punch.
Alzado bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
We've been hearing reports that Alzado has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Nao dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alzado. That did some damage!
Nao ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nao misses with a looping right.
Alzado takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Nao gets a clinch.

Nao misses with a body punch.
Alzado lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Nao or not.

Nao breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nao has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nao misses with a hook.
Nao throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Nao, right into the meat.
Alzado fails with the takedown
and Nao scores with a counter punch that sends Alzado to the canvas! Nao smells blood - he's punishing Alzado with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Alzado has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Solomon Nao!
After winning the bout, Solomon Nao thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
