Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Samsonov (ranked 276 p4p, 42 weight class) and Radio Philips (ranked 368 p4p, 54 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Radio Philips was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Philips waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Samsonov.
A quick step to the side and Samsonov tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Philips fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Philips throws the left hand but Samsonov avoids the punch easily.
Samsonov appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Samsonov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Philips.
Philips misses with a double jab
and Samsonov counters with a head kick.
Philips misses with a looping right.

and Samsonov counters with a nice body shot.
Samsonov blocks a low kick nicely.
Samsonov throws a jab but it's blocked by Philips.
Philips just misses with a punch to the body.
Samsonov throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Radio Philips has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Philips throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Philips cracks Samsonov with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Samsonov takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Philips connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Samsonov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Philips.
Samsonov takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Samsonov loads up on a big right hand but Philips slips the punch.
Philips falls off balance throwing a combination
and Samsonov counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Philips looks to land a combination but Samsonov avoids it well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Samsonov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Philips misses the body punch
and Samsonov counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Samsonov throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Philips tumbling to the canvas!
Philips is rocked!
Samsonov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Samsonov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Philips is still in real trouble! Can Samsonov finish him?
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Samsonov advances to half guard.
Samsonov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Samsonov seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Philips is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
