Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Esteban Carson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mario Price!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Francis DeMontford and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carson lands a nice hook to Price's body. Price takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Carson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Price regains guard.

Price is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Carson is aware though and is defending well.
Price can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Carson controls the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Price pulls Carson in close to prevent any damage.

Carson feints and as Price raises his hands in defense, Carson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Carson stays in close to Price's body and controls the position.
Carson wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving.

Price had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Carson defends it easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Carson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Carson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Carson distracts Price with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Carson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Price looking to hit a scissor sweep but Carson is one step ahead there.
Carson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Price dives in and scores a takedown into Carson's guard.

Carson digs a good body shot into Price's ribs.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Price throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Carson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Price is in Carson's guard.
Price wants to control from the top but Carson keeps moving.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Price trying to control the position from guard on top but Carson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Carson clinches up with Price and pushes him back against the cage.

Carson is trying to trip Price. He has hold of a leg but Price is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Carson persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Price has his foot on Carson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carson works his way back into a safe position though.

Price is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Carson has his hands clasped together but Price extends and breaks Carson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Price.
