CACC 19 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a super heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Colton Northwood (ranked 6898 p4p, 67 weight class) and Ze Jiurgite (ranked 24663 p4p, 78 weight class). Jiurgite is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bezerra - O Malandro Era Forte. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ze Jiurgite was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Jiurgite stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Northwood swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jiurgite is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Northwood has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Jiurgite is persistently looking for the submission but Northwood is defending it well.
Jiurgite is trying to stick to Northwood's back but Northwood is turning into Jiurgite. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Jiurgite's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Northwood.

Jiurgite might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Northwood haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Jiurgite felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
