Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rudi Dassler (ranked 1472 p4p, 220 weight class) and Joe Walcott (ranked 1366 p4p, 207 weight class). Walcott is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Way Of The Fist. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
31 - 30 - 0, fighting out of London, Rudi Dassler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Walcott! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walcott waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Dassler. Dassler has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Dassler has managed to clinch.
Walcott lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Dassler or not. Walcott pushes off an throws an elbow but Dassler leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Walcott. Walcott working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Dassler is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Walcott pulls him back up using the underhooks. Walcott taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Dassler is trying to drag Walcott to the mat but Walcott just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Dassler blocks an uppercut.
Dassler tries to score a body lock takedown but Walcott shows good agility there to stay on his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rudi Dassler. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dassler tries for a takedown but Walcott manages to get underhooks.
Dassler is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Walcott gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Walcott scores with a hook to the body. Walcott tries to work over Dassler's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Walcott is defending well against a takedown attempt. A right hook to the body lands for Walcott.

That's one minute gone in the round. Walcott lands a body shot. Walcott pushes Dassler back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A bit of stalling here from Walcott.
Walcott lands with a light punch inside. Walcott tries a body shot but Dassler blocks it.
Dassler goes for a takedown attempt but Walcott pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Walcott.
Walcott jabs at Dassler's body. Walcott buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A lazy body kick from Walcott and Dassler counters with a takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dassler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Walcott has escaped the position, nice work there. Dassler is trying to get an arm triangle but Walcott is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Walcott's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Dassler is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Walcott knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dassler thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Dassler with the ground and pound but Walcott regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dassler is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Walcott preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Dassler stopping the sweep attempt from Walcott. Dassler throws an elbow that misses. Walcott uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dassler's guard. Nice move by Walcott!
Dassler had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Walcott defends it easily. Walcott stays in close to Dassler's body and controls the position. Dassler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walcott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Walcott got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dassler has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walcott has managed to get both his arms back between Dassler's legs - danger averted.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dassler is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walcott is aware though and is defending well. Dassler keeping moving, preventing Walcott from controlling successfully. Dassler doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Dassler is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Walcott showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Walcott is continuing to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Walcott dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Walcott throws a leg kick that is checked and Dassler counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Walcott looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Walcott keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Dassler will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Dassler wants to work for an arm triangle but Walcott is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dassler throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Dassler trying to advance position but Walcott counters by regaining guard. Rudi Dassler overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Dassler passes easily into side control. Nice work. Wait, no, Walcott rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Dassler's guard! Nice work there by Walcott!

Walcott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Walcott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dassler looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Dassler wants to sweep but no luck. Walcott sitting in guard, not really doing much. Walcott avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dassler is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walcott is aware though and is defending well. Dassler throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Dassler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walcott gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dassler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Walcott defends well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Walcott is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Dassler has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Walcott can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Walcott is fighting it but it looks tight! Dassler pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Walcott is tapping out - this one is all over!

Rudi Dassler very nearly forgot to thank Urban Fighter amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you. The defeated Joe Walcott had this to say: 'WTF?!? Gamma is a joke. Anyway Pit Bull Development is the best. I am always so focused because of that shit. Anyone who says different can suck a dick.'.
