Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Vasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Binzo Binzo! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Binzo with a body punch. A glancing blow. Binzo misses with a head kick.
Binzo connects with a single shot there. Binzo gets caught flat footed, as Vasquez shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Vasquez drops back looking for a leg! Binzo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Binzo manages to kick Vasquez off! Vasquez jumps back into Binzo's guard. Binzo looking for a guillotine here but Vasquez defends easily.

Binzo wants to sweep here but Vasquez controlling him for the moment. Binzo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vasquez's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Binzo content to stall in guard here. Binzo wants to control from the top but Vasquez keeps moving. Vasquez has control of Binzo's left arm, preventing Binzo from doing any damage. Vasquez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Binzo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Vasquez is looking for a triangle but Binzo pushes his legs off easily.
Binzo trying to control the position from guard on top but Vasquez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Binzo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Binzo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Vasquez pulls Binzo in close to prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vasquez throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Vasquez is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Binzo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Binzo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Vasquez keeping moving, preventing Binzo from controlling successfully. Binzo wanted to stand there but Vasquez had control of the position. Vasquez looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Binzo wants to control from the top but Vasquez keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Binzo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Vasquez swats him away and circles back towards the center. Binzo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A combination from Binzo does no damage. Vasquez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Binzo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Binzo bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Vasquez's head backwards. Vasquez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Binzo wants to get back to full guard. Binzo looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Vasquez pushes past his half guard into mount! Binzo is looking to improve his position but Vasquez isn't that keen on the idea. Vasquez is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Binzo has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Vasquez is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Binzo tries to reverse the position but Vasquez maintains control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vasquez looking to control and managing it successfully. Vasquez looking to control but Binzo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Vasquez swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
