Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frog Ribbit (ranked 375 p4p, 54 weight class) and Robert McKenna (ranked 804 p4p, 122 weight class). McKenna is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Freedom. Robert McKenna acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frog Ribbit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robert McKenna! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKenna has Ribbit up against the cage in a clinch.
McKenna misses with a hook from the clinch. Ribbit is struggling to control the position. I was talking to Ribbit's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. McKenna gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. McKenna is stalling in the full guard. My spies in Big Bear Fight Factory inform me that McKenna has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Ribbit looking to control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McKenna accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ribbit wants to sweep but no luck. Ribbit pulls McKenna in close to prevent any damage. Ribbit wants to stand but McKenna is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKenna advances to half guard. McKenna is keen to just control but Ribbit is a slippery customer. Ribbit is looking for a sweep. McKenna is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ribbit trying to control but McKenna postures up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McKenna in particular looking to stall.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McKenna shoots for a double leg takedown but Ribbit sprawls well. He's pushed McKenna's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McKenna fails with the takedown. Ribbit is looking to counter with a shot to the body. McKenna closes the distance but Ribbit moves to the side and Ribbit connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McKenna looking to score a takedown here. Ribbit is defending well but McKenna drives through and ends up in Ribbit's guard. Ribbit pushes McKenna off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McKenna throws a lazy head kick and McKenna takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McKenna closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. McKenna looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ribbit tries to get to full guard but McKenna has control of the leg. McKenna trying to pass the guard but Ribbit defending well. McKenna is trying to control. Ribbit wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Ribbit tries to get to full guard but McKenna has control of the leg. McKenna passes the guard and advances to mount! McKenna throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ribbit because McKenna loaded up on that one.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McKenna thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. McKenna working Ribbit over with strikes here. McKenna avoids the attempt from Ribbit to control. McKenna trying to control but Ribbit is having none of it. Ribbit can't escape the position.
Ribbit in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. McKenna tries to control but Ribbit wriggling away. McKenna is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robert McKenna dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
McKenna shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ribbit but Ribbit pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ribbit was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. McKenna with a poor takedown and Ribbit counters with a nice body shot. McKenna fails with the takedown and Ribbit connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Robert McKenna has been cut. Frog Ribbit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert McKenna. McKenna shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ribbit as he jumps to the side. A counter left hand to the body from Ribbit misses its target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ribbit thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves McKenna to his feet! McKenna is in big trouble! McKenna shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ribbit sprawls well. Ribbit wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McKenna gets slowly back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKenna misses with a takedown attempt - Ribbit sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. The fight moves into the clinch position. Ribbit leaning against his opponent.

McKenna is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Ribbit gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. McKenna is working for takedown but Ribbit is calmly controlling the position for now. McKenna managing to block the knees to the body from Ribbit.

McKenna tries for a takedown but Ribbit circles away easily and Ribbit counters by moving into the clinch. Ribbit is pressed up against the cage. McKenna has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ribbit down to the mat. Ribbit avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. McKenna tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ribbit swivels and escapes. Ribbit tries to counter by moving into the clinch but McKenna manages to circle out of the way. McKenna is breathing heavily. McKenna doesn't succeed with the takedown and McKenna takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. McKenna closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ribbit circles away. Ribbit seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Frog Ribbit is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McKenna dives in for a single leg takedown but Ribbit sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. McKenna looks for a takedown but Ribbit sprawls well. And Ribbit counters with a quick kick to the body but McKenna blocks it.

McKenna shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Ribbit manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. McKenna keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. A head punch on the inside from McKenna fails to land. McKenna takes a shot to the head. McKenna has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ribbit is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ribbit pushes McKenna back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. McKenna has a couple of punches blocked by Ribbit.
Ribbit tries to land a knee to the head but McKenna blocks with his arms.

Ribbit avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. McKenna shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Ribbit to counter with a crisp jab.

Ribbit lets McKenna back up to his feet, looking for a finish! McKenna gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ribbit counters with a right, left combo that wobbles McKenna badly! Ribbit follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks McKenna out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Ribbit finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Frog Ribbit! During a confident post fight interview, Frog Ribbit thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
