Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Metta WorldDestruction (ranked 5614 p4p, 483 weight class) and Corazon Silva (ranked 3381 p4p, 369 weight class). Corazon Silva has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots in but no luck this time.

WorldDestruction definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

WorldDestruction pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Corazon Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
WorldDestruction is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Silva is controlling him well.
WorldDestruction knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silva on the ground.

Silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Silva takes the fight into the clinch.

Silva tightens his grip and picks WorldDestruction up, before dumping him to the ground. WorldDestruction manages to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but WorldDestruction is defending well.

Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
WorldDestruction is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Silva asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

WorldDestruction trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Silva has an Americana. WorldDestruction didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Silva is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Silva hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
