The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bizihwaeile misses with a double jab
and Novak counters with an inside leg kick.
Novak has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Bizihwaeile is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Novak misses with a body shot
and Bizihwaeile counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Michael Novak has been cut.

Bizihwaeile gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Novak tries to break the clinch but Bizihwaeile is controlling the position.
Novak is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bizihwaeile to keep the fight standing.

Bizihwaeile pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bizihwaeile throws a shot from downtown. Novak moves away and avoids it.
Bizihwaeile misses with a low kick as Novak jumps back.
Novak was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Novak drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Novak stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bizihwaeile.

Bizihwaeile defending well as Novak loads up on a big left hand.
Novak on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Bizihwaeile clinches with his opponent.
Bizihwaeile tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Bizihwaeile works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Bizihwaeile.
Novak with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Bizihwaeile escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Novak tries to score with a low kick but Bizihwaeile moves his leg out of the way.
Novak throws a nice inside leg kick.

A shot to the liver by Bizihwaeile. Beautiful body shot.
Bizihwaeile takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bizihwaeile bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Novak's head.
Bizihwaeile thuds a left hand into Novak's body.
Bizihwaeile fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Novak manages to avoid it.
Novak wants to counter with a clinch but Bizihwaeile pushes him away.
Bizihwaeile lands a really nice looking cross but Novak seems unphased.
Bizihwaeile misses with a looping right.
Novak misses with a kick to the body
and Novak takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Novak is rocked!

That has opened up Michael Novak's cut even more.
Bizihwaeile drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Novak's head, knocking him out cold! Bizihwaeile is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
