And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 19 - 3, fighting out of New York, DeShawn Jackson!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses the shot to the body.
Jackson throws a leg kick but Boma sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Boma gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Jackson.
Jackson darts in looking for a takedown but Boma gets double underhooks and turns Jackson into the cage.
Boma throwing a counter right hand but Jackson manages to avoid it.
A big left from Jackson misses.
As Jackson looks to move away, Boma throws a big counter combo but Jackson just gets out of the way.
Jackson swings for the body but Boma moves out of range.
A jab lands there for Jackson.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Boma moves away.
Boma tries to counter by clinching up but Jackson breaks away and moves out of range.
Boma slips a jab from Jackson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boma manages to avoid it.
As Jackson tries to get set, Boma tries to push him back and clinch up but Jackson manages to avoid the attempt.

letting Boma counter with a right hand.


It looks like DeShawn Jackson has been cut.
Jackson doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Jackson wants to land a leg kick but Boma is out of range.
Boma is looking to counter punch.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Boma napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Jackson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Boma is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Jackson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Boma, who protects the arm well.
Boma is trying to control Jackson's posture but Jackson avoids it.
Jackson working the strikes but Boma uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Boma regains full guard. Nicely done.

Jackson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Boma has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle.
Boma wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.
Boma has Jackson pulled in close to control his posture.

Jackson has gone for a leg lock! Boma slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jackson's guard.

Boma sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jackson's guard.
Boma is controlling the pace.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson wants to get back to full guard.
Boma is figuring out what he wants to do next.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Boma stalling.
Boma continues to stall.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Jackson misses with a hook
and Boma counters with a left and a right... And another left! Jackson is down! He's done! The ref dives in to save him and that's the end of the fight!
