Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Motu Te Tai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kwon Woo Lee!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee darts in and clinches Te Tai up against the cage.
Lee is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Lee tries for a takedown but Te Tai manages to get underhooks.
Lee drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Te Tai wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Te Tai escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Te Tai closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Te Tai wants to break free but Lee has control.

Te Tai pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Nice takedown defense from Te Tai. No joy for Lee on that attempt.
Motu Te Tai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kwon Woo Lee.
Lee avoids the head kick by Te Tai.

Lee pushes Te Tai up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Te Tai is trying to push Lee away but Lee has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lee has Te Tai pressed against the cage, preventing Te Tai from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Te Tai looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Te Tai wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Lee has Te Tai pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lee pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Te Tai tumbling to the mat - Lee dives into Te Tai's guard.
Lee throwing strikes but missing.

Te Tai is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Lee dives into side control.
Te Tai is trying to buck Lee off.
Lee throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Te Tai is trying to get back to his feet.
Te Tai trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
A lull in the action here.
Te Tai tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Te Tai is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.
Te Tai tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Te Tai has managed to clinch.
Te Tai stops a takedown attempt from Lee.

Lee pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Te Tai closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Lee keeps control of Te Tai as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Lee has Te Tai pushed against the cage.

Lee has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Te Tai is trying to keep an underhook but Lee manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Te Tai makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Te Tai is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Te Tai stuffs the takedown attempt from Lee. Lee gets slowly back to his feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Te Tai looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Te Tai is looking to clinch but Lee is avoiding it.
Lee avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lee unleashes a big counter combination but Te Tai bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Te Tai tries to clinch up.
Lee is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Lee avoids the head kick by Te Tai.
Te Tai slaps away a takedown attempt from Lee, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Te Tai forces Lee back against the cage and clinches.
Lee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Te Tai gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Te Tai's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Te Tai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Lee paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lee blocks a head kick by Te Tai.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Te Tai is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Lee goes for a takedown in the clinch but Te Tai prevents it.

Te Tai manages to break the clinch.
Lee with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
The fight stays on the outside here - Te Tai looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lee keeps the fight on the outside.
Te Tai tries to clinch but Lee moves away
and Lee counters with a straight right hand.
Te Tai jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Te Tai tries to clinch up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee moves into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Te Tai's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Te Tai manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Motu Te Tai dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Lee fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kwon Woo Lee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The fighters circle, before Te Tai throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Lee's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Te Tai lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Motu Te Tai!
