Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Juan Carlos Escobar (ranked 3756 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akhmatbek Zholdoshev (ranked 3630 p4p, 381 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Carlos Escobar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Akhmatbek Zholdoshev! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zholdoshev will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zholdoshev misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Escobar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Zholdoshev throws a right hand that Escobar ducks under and follows up with a left that Escobar also avoids with ease. Zholdoshev showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Escobar.
Zholdoshev throws a nice looking combination but Escobar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Escobar swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Escobar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Zholdoshev circles away quickly and effectively. Zholdoshev looks to land a combination but Escobar avoids it well. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Zholdoshev fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zholdoshev lands a head kick. Escobar smiles back at him and beckons him forward. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Escobar showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Zholdoshev.
A little feinted left hand from Escobar on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Zholdoshev gets in close and tags Escobar with a short punch that almost sends Escobar to the mat! Oh Escobar is in big trouble! He turns his back on Zholdoshev, trying to create some distance but Zholdoshev rushes him, striking wildly and Escobar goes down! The referee tackles Zholdoshev into the cage to end the fight! Zholdoshev is one violent man!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Akhmatbek Zholdoshev!
