The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toumanian throws a lazy head kick
and Richardson counters with a nice uppercut.

Richardson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Toumanian not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Toumanian's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Toumanian controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Toumanian decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Richardson, up you get!

Richardson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Toumanian is fending him off so far but Richardson persists. Nope, Toumanian circles away and we're back to standing.

Toumanian has managed to clinch.
Richardson is trying to break the clinch but Toumanian has him pressed against the cage.
Richardson tries to pull guard but Toumanian won't allow it.

Richardson gets control of Toumanian's arms and successfully pulls guard. Richardson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Richardson is looking for a triangle here but Toumanian uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Toumanian is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Richardson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Toumanian thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Toumanian has an Americana. Richardson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Toumanian is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Toumanian hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
