Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Rocha (ranked 5680 p4p, 477 weight class) and Sam Laurens (ranked 6205 p4p, 498 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laurens just misses with a punch to the body.
Rocha throwing a counter right hand but Laurens manages to avoid it.
Laurens swings away with a body shot that misses
letting Rocha counter with a right hand.
Laurens throws a body shot but no joy.
A little feinted left hand from Rocha on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Laurens just misses with a punch to the body.
Laurens throws a sloppy body shot
and Laurens takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Laurens ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rocha moves away.
It looked like Rocha wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Laurens throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Laurens swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Rocha scores with a counter punch that sends Laurens to the canvas! Rocha smells blood - he's punishing Laurens with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Laurens has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rafael Rocha!
Rafael Rocha was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
