Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Wynn (ranked 24569 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joshua Mcmeny (ranked 4692 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joshua Mcmeny! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wynn takes one to the chin there. Nice uppercut lands for Mcmeny. That snapped Wynn's head back.
Nice body punch from Mcmeny. Wynn fails in his attempt to clinch. A jab from Mcmeny finds it's way through Wynn's defenses. Nice shot lands for Mcmeny. Wynn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcmeny as he avoids it easily. Wynn looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mcmeny is fending him off so far but Wynn persists. Nope, Mcmeny circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wynn fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edwin Wynn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcmeny comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Joshua Mcmeny is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Mcmeny ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Mcmeny lands with an overhand left. Mcmeny connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Mcmeny cracks Wynn with a good jab. Mcmeny is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Mcmeny jabs at Wynn's body. Wynn takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Mcmeny scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

This has been an exciting period of action! Mcmeny lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Mcmeny scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Mcmeny has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Wynn gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Wynn moves to clinch but Mcmeny breaks away and Mcmeny counters with a lovely straight right hand! Mcmeny lands a nice shot that snaps Wynn's head back.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wynn dives in for a single leg takedown but Mcmeny sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wynn walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Wynn is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mcmeny sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A cross from Mcmeny lands. Mcmeny connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wynn. Wynn circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Wynn moves forwards but Mcmeny connects with a nice, crisp jab. Mcmeny sizes up Wynn with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. The fighters circle momentarily. Mcmeny darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcmeny connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wynn's hands. Joshua Mcmeny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mcmeny leaves Wynn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Mcmeny is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wynn had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Mcmeny bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wynn's head. Wynn really is a fat lump. Wynn takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Wynn looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. This has been an exciting period of action! Wynn has his takedown stuffed and Mcmeny counters with a left to the body. A jab from Mcmeny finds it's way through Wynn's defenses. Mcmeny lands with a hook. Wynn tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wynn moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Mcmeny scores with the left hand. Wynn knows he should have avoided that one. This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Wynn might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Mcmeny bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wynn's head. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Wynn. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Mcmeny connects with the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcmeny stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mcmeny wants it to stay on the feet. Wynn on the wrong end of a nice jab. Mcmeny feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Wynns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Wynn with a poor takedown and Mcmeny connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Edwin Wynn. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcmeny throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wynn on the side of the head. Mcmeny connects with a jab. Mcmeny has been the more effective fighter overall so far. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mcmeny cracks Wynn with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Mcmeny lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. A lazy left from Mcmeny finds it's target. Wynn gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Mcmeny connects with a right hand. Wynn shakes it off. Wynn with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mcmeny to score with a decent uppercut.

Mcmeny throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wynn stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A lazy left from Mcmeny finds it's target. Wynn shoots in looking for a takedown. Mcmeny tries to sprawl out of it but Wynn keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mcmeny manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mcmeny swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Mcmeny digs a good hook to Wynn's body.

Wynn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wynn takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mcmeny connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. The crowd cheers as Mcmeny lands an impressive looking overhand right. Wynn doesn't seem phased though. Nice sprawl there from Mcmeny as Wynn shoots in. Mcmeny throws a shot to the body.

And that's the end of the fight! Joshua Mcmeny comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Mcmeny has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
