Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Miki Viki (ranked 2300 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Flanagan (ranked 2431 p4p, 0 weight class). Flanagan has chosen The Wizard as his entrance music. Walter Flanagan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanagan slips a jab and a cross from Viki.
Viki pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Viki looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Flanagan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Viki.
Flanagan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Flanagan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Flanagan thuds a left hand into Viki's body.

and Flanagan counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Flanagan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Viki thuds a left hand into Flanagan's body.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Flanagan, as that shot connected.

Flanagan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Viki manages to avoid it.
Viki jabs Flanagan right on the nose. Flanagan blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Walter Flanagan has been cut.

Viki connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Flanagan's hands.
Flanagan scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Viki doesn't seem bothered though.
Flanagan looks to land a left hand but Viki moved out of range nicely.

Viki moves into range and connects with a jab.
Sloppy strikes from Viki. Those never looked like landing.
Viki throws a low kick, looking for Flanagan's leg but Flanagan calmly moves out of range.

A little feinted left hand from Viki on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Viki wants to slow Flanagan down by chopping away at his legs.
Viki throws a leg kick but Flanagan sees it coming and moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Miki Viki will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Walter Flanagan's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Viki lunges at Flanagan with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Flanagan's hand.
Flanagan is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Viki rather than just go for the knockout.
Flanagan throws a lazy right hand but Viki sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Viki lands a left and a right that send Flanagan crashing to the mat, dazed. Viki thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Flanagan is rocked!
Flanagan gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Viki gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

During a confident post fight interview, Miki Viki thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
