Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mahmoud Modaro (ranked 4769 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Gonchi (ranked 4770 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Modaro tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Gonchi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Modaro dives in and scores a takedown into Gonchi's guard.
Gonchi is looking to stand back up but Modaro counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Gonchi.
Modaro is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Modaro takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Modaro working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Modaro moves nicely into side control.
Gonchi is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Modaro is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Modaro content just to control the position here.

Modaro with shots to the head and body - Gonchi looks very uncomfortable down there.
Gonchi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Modaro lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Modaro with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gonchi can do anything to dispel that myth.
Modaro tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Gonchi looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Modaro working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Gonchi is doing well to defend. Modaro seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Gonchi is forced to tap and this one is over!
