Thunder's entrance music is Who Set The World On Fire. A fine choice. Hughes has chosen Devil "Shinedown" as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Distant Thunder! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 3 losses; Sirus Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.


The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Thunder has managed to clinch.
Hughes is trying to pull guard but Thunder turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.

Thunder ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Thunder no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Hughes told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Hughes wants to pass the guard but Thunder is keeping the position.
Thunder is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thunder's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Thunder has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Hughes rolls with it to try and escape but Thunder cranks on the arm and Hughes is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
