Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nuro Higati (ranked 4669 p4p, 490 weight class) and Archie Ouchie (ranked 4511 p4p, 480 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nuro Higati! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Archie Ouchie! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Higati throws a jab but it's blocked by Ouchie. Ouchie is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Higati misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ouchie.
Higati tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ouchie sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Higati somewhat. Ouchie tries to counter with a clinch but Higati shakes him off and moves away.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Ouchie throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Higati drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ouchie sprawls and moves away. Higati takes a swing at Ouchie's ribcage but misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ouchie slips a straight right by Higati. Ouchie steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Higati. Higati moves out of range of the strikes. Higati quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect. Ouchie looks to land a left hand but Higati moved out of range nicely. Higati feinted with a counter takedown. Ouchie thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ouchie tries to close the distance and clinch but Higati swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Higati throwing a counter right hand but Ouchie manages to avoid it. Ouchie tries to clinch there but Higati circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Higati ducks under a wild hook from Ouchie. Higati swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Higati fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Archie Ouchie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Higati shoots in and drives through. Ouchie sprawls well. Ouchie steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Higati. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Archie Ouchie will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Higati tries for a takedown but Ouchie sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Ouchie is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Ouchie is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Higati lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Ouchie tries to clinch up but Higati circles away and keeps his distance. Higati slips under a jab from Ouchie.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. The fighters circling - Higati throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Ouchie tries to counter by closing the distance. Higati throws the left hand but Ouchie avoids the punch easily. Higati throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ouchie sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ouchie tries to counter with a clinch but Higati shakes him off and moves away. Ouchie throws a big shot that misses. A little feinted left hand from Higati on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ouchie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Higati throws out the jab. Ouchie wants to counter with a clinch but Higati pushes him away. Higati takes a swing at Ouchie's ribcage but misses. Higati sets himself, and Ouchie steps forward looking for the clinch! Higati avoids it this time. Higati just misses with a punch to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ouchie on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Higati working the head with strikes. Higati throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Higati working the ground and pound from side control. Ouchie dodges the ground and pound from Higati. Higati is trying to get an arm triangle but Ouchie is defending well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The strikes coming from Higati are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Higati lands a nice forearm strike. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ouchie is looking for a sweep. Higati misses with the ground and pound. Higati landing strikes. Ouchie is trying to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nuro Higati dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Higati drops down looking for a counter takedown but Ouchie sprawls and moves away. Higati misses with an uppercut. Ouchie saw that one coming. Ouchie might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Ouchie misses with an uppercut. Higati saw that one coming. Higati steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Ouchie. It looked like Higati was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Ouchie.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. A slow jab from Higati misses its intended target. Ouchie steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Higati. Ouchie looks to land a left hand but Higati moved out of range nicely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ouchie stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ouchie wants it to stay on the feet.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Nuro Higati. Well Higati has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
