Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tom Bombadil! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Frederick Dukes! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dukes looks to throw the jab but Bombadil is out of range. Bombadil has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bombadil there as he acknowledges the shot. Bombadil takes one to the chin there. Dukes looks to land a right hand but Bombadil moved out of range. Bombadil fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Dukes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bombadil circles away quickly and effectively. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Bombadil!
It looks like Frederick Dukes has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dukes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bombadil counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Dukes looks gassed! Bombadil throws a wild body kick that Dukes sees coming a mile off. Dukes throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bombadil counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Bombadil connects with a body shot. Bombadil shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dukes avoids a kick to the body.
Bombadil lands with a nice body punch. Dukes takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Bombadil connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bombadil tests Dukes's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bombadil shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dukes pinned against the cage. Dukes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Bombadil. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dukes will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bombadil scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Dukes doesn't seem bothered though. Dukes tries to move into range but Bombadil moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Bombadil is looking to wear down Dukes with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bombadil tests Dukes's chin there with a solid looking shot. Bombadil shoots in and drives through. Dukes sprawls well. Dukes throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bombadil counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Nice uppercut lands for Bombadil. That snapped Dukes's head back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dukes ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Dukes tries to bum rush Bombadil with a series of wild strikes but Bombadil uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Bombadil shoots in but no luck this time. Bombadil fails to land the takedown. Bombadil thows a body shot but no joy. Bombadil lands a right hook to the body.
Bombadil is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dukes. Bombadil digs a good hook to Dukes's body.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bombadil. Bombadil with a body punch. A glancing blow. Bombadil is looking to land body kicks.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bombadil shoots in for a double leg but Dukes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dukes swings away with a body shot that misses
and Bombadil counters with a three punch combo that has Dukes backing up. Dukes nods at Bombadil to acknowledge the strikes. Dukes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Bombadil is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Dukes. Dukes fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bombadil manages to avoid it. Bombadil thuds his right hand into Dukes's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Dukes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Bombadil fails with the takedown. Dukes looks to land a combination but Bombadil avoids it well. Dukes misses with the combination.
Horrible takedown by Bombadil or perhaps it was just good defense by Dukes which made him look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Dukes takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Dukes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bombadil moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bombadil throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bombadil really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Dukes misses with a combination
and Dukes takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Nice takedown defense from Dukes. No joy for Bombadil on that attempt. Bombadil uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Dukes. Nice defenses there by Bombadil. Nice body punch from Bombadil. Bombadil is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Bombadil connects with a nice looking jab.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bombadil changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dukes tries to avoid it but Bombadil manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dukes to the ground. Dukes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dukes lands an overhand right. Bombadil scores with the left hand. Dukes knows he should have avoided that one. Decent striking displayed by Bombadil there. Dukes is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Bombadil. Bombadil shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bombadil showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Frederick Dukes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dukes's corner calls for a 1-2. Dukes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Bombadil on the wrong end of a nice jab. Dukes has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Dukes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bombadil counters with a left to the body. Dukes has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Bombadil lands a nice shot to the body.
Bombadil is looking to land body kicks. Bombadil clobbers Dukes with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. and Bombadil counters with a stiff right hand. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bombadil, as that shot connected.
Dukes gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dukes wants to get back to his feet but Bombadil is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Bombadil looking to pass the guard. Bombadil working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Dukes keeping moving, preventing Bombadil from controlling successfully. Bombadil drops back looking for a leg! Dukes is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dukes manages to kick Bombadil off! Bombadil jumps back into Dukes's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice sprawl there from Dukes as Bombadil shoots in. Bombadil tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dukes swivels and escapes. Bombadil thows a left - swing and a miss! Dukes throws a shot from downtown. Bombadil moves away and avoids it. Bombadil connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Dukes momentarily.

Frederick Dukes has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Bombadil connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Dukes stuffs the takedown attempt from Bombadil. Nice combination. Dukes stuffs the takedown. Tom Bombadil is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Dukes throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bombadil counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Dukes takes a jab right on the kisser.
Bombadil changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dukes tries to avoid it but Bombadil manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dukes to the ground. Dukes escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bombadil is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Dukes. Dukes stuffs the takedown. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bombadil does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Bombadil showed his dominance in that final round. Well Bombadil has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
