PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Bruce Vanorden (ranked 2183 p4p, 284 weight class) and Denzil J Kenny (ranked 24748 p4p, 593 weight class). Vanorden comes to the ring accompanied by Squad King Karter. Kenny comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way - Waylon Jennings kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the ring it seems that Bruce Vanorden has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Bruce Vanorden seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Denzil J Kenny!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanorden lands a head shot.
Vanorden swings for the body but Kenny moves out of range.
Denzil J Kenny seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vanorden on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Kenny slips a jab from Vanorden.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kenny! But no joy.
Kenny misses with a right hand
and Kenny takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Denzil J Kenny has been cut.
Kenny thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kenny lands with a good body shot.
Vanorden tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kenny was well out of range. Poor timing from Vanorden.

Vanorden has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kenny lands on the inside with an uppercut.

Vanorden breaks from the clinch.
Kenny connects with a single shot there.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kenny pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kenny misses with a looping right.

Vanorden moves into range and clinches up with Kenny.
Kenny wants to break free but Vanorden has control.
Vanorden pushes Kenny back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Vanorden tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Vanorden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Vanorden ducks into a a hook from Kenny and goes down! He looks in a bit of a mess; will he beat the count?! 4,5,6,7,8 - he's up and looking to carry on! The referee looks into his eyes and sees that he's OK to continue!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kenny connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Vanorden onto his butt! Vanorden bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

Vanorden is rocked!
Kenny has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Vanorden is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Kenny doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Vanorden crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Vanorden's bad books for that mishap!

After winning the bout, Denzil J Kenny thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
