Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bronson Hughes (ranked 2172 p4p, 223 weight class) and Tzu Chu (ranked 2205 p4p, 228 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by Slam - By: Onyx. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bronson Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tzu Chu!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Hughes looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Chu has closed the distance and engaged Hughes in a clinch.
Chu gets through Hughes's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Hughes throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Chu throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Chu lands with a hook. Hughes tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
A punch lands to the side of Hughes 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Bronson Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Chu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hughes circles away quickly and effectively.

Hughes tries to score with some ground and pound. Chu controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Hughes swings around for an armbar but Chu sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hughes's guard.

Chu distracts Hughes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Chu tries to free his leg and advance position but Hughes is retaining full guard.
Hughes pulls Chu in to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hughes controls Chu momentarily but Chu frees himself.
Chu is working Hughes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Chu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hughes is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Chu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hughes tries to counter with a takedown but Chu is quick to defend against it.
Hughes throws a hook to the side of Chu's head but Chu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Chu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hughes.
As Chu tries to get set, Hughes tries to push him back and clinch up but Chu manages to avoid the attempt.

Donk. Hughes catches Chu right on the button with a cross.
Hughes throws a hook but Chu avoids it easily.
Hughes misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hughes or perhaps it was just good defense by Chu, which made it look bad.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

A left and a right from Hughes both land. Nice combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Chu throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hughes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Chu throws a combination. Hughes tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
No joy there for Hughes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Chu will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Chu lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Hughes throws a body shot but no joy.
Chu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hughes manages to avoid it.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Chu. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Tzu Chu seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Chu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hughes.

Chu tries to throw a body punch but Hughes avoids it by throwing Chu back against the cage.
Chu lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Hughes.

Hughes is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Chu to keep the fight standing.

Tzu Chu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Hughes seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Chu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Tzu Chu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Chu winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
