Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Handy Habab (ranked 4808 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Smoke (ranked 4858 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Handy Habab! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Smoke! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Habab shoots in looking for a takedown but Smoke manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Habab's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Habab fails with the takedown and Smoke counters with a nice uppercut. Smoke stuffs the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Handy Habab. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smoke keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Habab closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smoke circles away. Smoke looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Smoke scores with a nice head shot. Smoke works the jab nicely. Habab goes for a double leg but Smoke avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smoke continues to drive forward. Handy Habab seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Habab tries for a takedown but Smoke circles away easily and Smoke counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Habab misses with a takedown and Smoke counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Habab takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Habab shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Habab was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Habab landing a few strikes. Smoke dodges the ground and pound from Habab. An elbow from Habab crashes against the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smoke is trying to control Habab's posture but Habab avoids it. Smoke avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Habab. Smoke controls the position for a moment. Habab creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Smoke sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Habab postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Smoke holds on to Habab's head and controls the position momentarily. Smoke really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Habab. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smoke is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Habab scores with a couple of short elbows. Smoke tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Habab wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Smoke taking punishment in the form of punches.
Habab lands a nice forearm strike.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Habab cracks Smoke with an elbow. That is naaassty. The ground and pound from Habab seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Smoke is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Habab looks up at the clock and then as Smoke takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Habab smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Smoke tries to improve position but can't. Smoke looks winded! Habab is chipping away with strikes.
Smoke is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Habab has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Habab looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Smoke is avoiding damage well.
Sloppy strikes there by Habab. Habab lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Smoke down.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Habab working the ground and pound from side control. Smoke is working to avoid the ground and pound but Habab connects with a decent elbow. Habab landing strikes.
Smoke is rocked! Habab scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Smoke to see if he's OK. Smoke is still in real trouble! Can Habab finish him? Habab looks up at the clock and then as Smoke takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Habab smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Smoke can do anything to dispel that myth. Habab working the ground and pound from side control. Habab looks up at the clock and then as Smoke takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Habab smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Habab cracks Smoke with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Habab immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Smoke is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Habab!
