Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Foster (ranked 4571 p4p, 494 weight class) and Tiger Jenkins (ranked 24593 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Foster has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeff Foster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tiger Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jenkins looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Foster stands up and beckons Jenkins to his feet.

Foster throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jenkins tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Foster is in Jenkins's guard.
Foster slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Foster lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Foster drops back looking for a leg! Jenkins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jenkins manages to kick Foster off! Foster jumps back into Jenkins's guard.
Foster is pushing down on Jenkins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jenkins is fighting to maintain full guard but Foster has managed to sneak the leg through.

Foster is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Foster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jenkins on the ground.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Jenkins is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Foster stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Jenkins to get to his feet.
Jenkins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Tiger Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Foster clinches up with Jenkins and pushes him back against the cage.

Foster escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Foster closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jenkins keeps control of Foster as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Foster lands a shot to the body.

Foster's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Foster has managed to clinch.
Jenkins is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Foster is defending well.

Foster has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Foster wants to sweep here but Jenkins controlling him for the moment.

Foster looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Foster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Foster tries to get out of the position.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.

Foster looking for a guillotine here but Jenkins defends easily.
Jenkins pushes down on Foster's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Foster is looking for a sweep. Jenkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Foster shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Foster showed some decent athleticism there.

Foster's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Foster moves into range and clinches up with Jenkins.

Foster tightens his grip and picks Jenkins up, before dumping him to the ground. Jenkins manages to land in guard.
Jenkins wants to get back to his feet but Foster passes into half guard.

Foster takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Foster content to control rather than advance.
Further stalling from Foster.
Foster is pressing down on Jenkins's thigh, looking to free his foot. Jenkins is holding on for now.

Foster moves nicely into side control.

Foster decides to stand back up.

Foster feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Foster seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
