Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Rua (ranked 4115 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mattia Ricon (ranked 5531 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricon closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Rua's guard.
Ricon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ricon looking to sit in guard and control but Rua gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Rua moves in looking to clinch but Ricon pushes him off.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Mattia Ricon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
