Bergstrem comes to the cage accompanied by The Cranberries - Zombie. Tommy Gunn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy Gunn!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunn shoots in looking for a takedown but Bergstrem manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gunn's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Oooh a lovely combination from Bergstrem sends Gunn down but not out. Bergstrem dives into side control looking to finish.


Gunn is rocked!


It looks like Tommy Gunn has been cut.

Bergstrem is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Gunn has escaped the position, nice work there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gunn is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Gunn's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Gunn keeping his opponent close.
Bergstrem scoring with punches and elbows.
Bergstrem trying to control the action but Gunn is working from the bottom.

Bergstrem is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Gunn is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Gunn tries to buck Bergstrem off but Bergstrem is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bergstrem in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Bergstrem trying to control the action but Gunn is working from the bottom.
Gunn prevents Bergstrem from moving into mount.
Bergstrem working away.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bergstrem trying to control the position but Gunn is working away.

Bergstrem thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gunn is trying to control Bergstrem's posture but Bergstrem avoids it.
Gunn is looking to reverse the position.
Gunn is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bergstrem's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Gunn wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bergstrem thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gunn's head.
Gunn is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bergstrem trying to control the action but Gunn is working from the bottom.
Bergstrem is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gunn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bergstrem lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Gunn sprawling to the canvas. Bergstrem follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Gunn hang on?
Gunn is still in real trouble! Can Bergstrem finish him?

Bergstrem in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Gunn tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Bergstrem!
