Coming up we have a welterweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Max Paddy (ranked 4757 p4p, 493 weight class) and Trevor Burrows (ranked 1454 p4p, 192 weight class). Burrows is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Calm - No problem. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 3 losses; Trevor Burrows!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Paddy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Paddy wants it to stay on the feet.
Paddy wants to clinch.
Burrows is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Paddy shoots for a takedown but Burrows saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Burrows forces Paddy back against the ropes and clinches.
Burrows can't get the takedown.
Paddy is fighting off a takedown attempt but Burrows is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Paddy to the mat. Paddy regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Paddy (0) vs (2) Burrows
Paddy looking for a guillotine here but Burrows defends easily.
Burrows got a little sloppy there for a moment and Paddy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Burrows has managed to get both his arms back between Paddy's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Paddy is trying to keep Burrows in close.
Burrows tries to free his leg and advance position but Paddy is retaining full guard.

Burrows pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Paddy is keeping the position for now.
Burrows trying to control the position from guard on top but Paddy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Paddy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Burrows gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Paddy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Burrows defends well.

Burrows wants to pass the guard but Paddy is keeping the position.
Paddy has his feet on Burrows's thighs here. He's pushed Burrows off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Burrows screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Max Paddy started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception. |
