Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Abunazir Kindzal (ranked 2928 p4p, 272 weight class) and Mario Price (ranked 7033 p4p, 461 weight class). Mario Price has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Abunazir Kindzal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mario Price!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kindzal pinned against the cage. Kindzal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kindzal shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Price napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Price can't do much from the bottom here.
Kindzal tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kindzal wants to stand but Price is controlling his arm.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Price tries to buck Kindzal off but Kindzal is having none of it.
You can see the frustration on Price's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kindzal misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Price throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Price avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Kindzal.
Price wants to control but Kindzal postures up.

Price tries to improve position but can't.
Price struggling a bit here.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Kindzal throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Price was covering up waiting for the punch and Kindzal finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Price is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kindzal is aware though and is defending well.

Price pulls Kindzal in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kindzal is in close to Price's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Price is controlling Kindzal's posture.
Price trying to keep a closed guard but Kindzal is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kindzal wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving.

Price working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kindzal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kindzal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Price pulls Kindzal in close to his closed guard and prevents Kindzal from doing any damage or advancing position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kindzal trying to control the position from guard on top but Price is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Abunazir Kindzal dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Kindzal lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kindzal leaves Price with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kindzal seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Kindzal forces Price back against the cage and clinches.

Kindzal manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Price postures up in Kindzal's guard and throws a big left but Kindzal blocks it.
Kindzal keeping moving, preventing Price from controlling successfully.

Kindzal working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Price doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Price manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kindzal has managed to clinch.

Price drags the fight down to the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Price is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kindzal throws a big right hand that misses.
Kindzal is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Price can do to turn this around?

Price wants to sweep but no luck.

Price managing to control the position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Price tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kindzal swivels and escapes.

Kindzal closes the distance and clinches.

Kindzal breaks the clinch.
Price shoots in for a double leg but Kindzal sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Abunazir Kindzal has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mario Price.

Kindzal clinches up against the cage.
Price tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kindzal smiles and moves away.

Kindzal shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Price's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Price has his hands on Kindzal's head, controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kindzal wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving.
Price seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Kindzal wants to stand but Price has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Price gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Price has control of Kindzal's left arm, preventing Kindzal from doing any damage.
Kindzal wants to control from the top but Price keeps moving.

Kindzal is fighting to break Price's control of his arms but Price is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Price working a defensive guard here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kindzal stopping the sweep attempt from Price.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kindzal pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Kindzal gets caught napping as Price dives in and scores a takedown. Kindzal manages to retain guard.
Kindzal is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Price dives into side control.


Price is working to tighten his grip on Kindzal's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kindzal has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Price is really squeezing tight and eventually Kindzal passes out! Price breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Mario Price!
