Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Luke Short (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ollie Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freeman has chosen Beat Again as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Luke Short!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ollie Freeman!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Freeman.
Short shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Freeman but Freeman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Short has taken the fight to the clinch.
Freeman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Freeman throws a sloppy head kick and Short moves out of range easily.
Short pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Freeman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Freeman scores with a nice head shot.
Freeman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Freeman, right into the meat.
Short shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Freeman but Freeman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Short closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Freeman moves into full guard.
Short makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Short prevents Freeman from getting back to his feet.
Short trying to control but Freeman is working from the bottom.
Short stopping the sweep attempt from Freeman.

Freeman has momentary wrist control but Short slips an elbow through the middle.
Freeman trying to keep a closed guard but Short is proving a slippery customer.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Freeman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A solid leg kick lands there for Freeman.
Ollie Freeman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Freeman tries a head kick but it misses.
No luck for Short with that takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Short. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Freeman clinches but Short breaks the clinch
and Short connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Short will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Freeman pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Short fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Short looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Freeman is fending him off so far but Short persists. Nope, Freeman circles away and we're back to standing.

Short is breathing heavily.
Freeman lands a nice leg kick that just misses Short's sensitive parts.
Freeman rushes Short and presses him up against the cage.
Short is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Freeman misses with a knee strike.
Freeman lands a shot to the body.
Short is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Freeman pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Short can't get the takedown.
Freeman tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Freeman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Short.
Freeman breaks the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

and Short counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Freeman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Short drops back looking for a leg! Freeman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Freeman manages to kick Short off! Short jumps back into Freeman's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Freeman kicks Short off and gets to his feet.
Freeman chopping away at his opponent's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Ollie Freeman will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Short fails with an attempt to clinch.
Short has closed the distance and engaged Freeman in a clinch.
Short lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Freeman backwards.
Short is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Short tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Freeman just stands there and leans against the cage.
Freeman is pressed up against the cage. Short has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Freeman down to the mat. Freeman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luke Short. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Short swats away the attempt to clinch by Freeman.
Short scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Short is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Freeman looks calm but he's in trouble here. Short gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Freeman is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Short lets go of the hold and Freeman can pop his arm back in it's socket.
