Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michal Bagietka (ranked 6518 p4p, 561 weight class) and Kobe Covington (ranked 4498 p4p, 478 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michal Bagietka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kobe Covington!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Covington darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Covington throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bagietka was covering up waiting for the punch and Covington finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Covington seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Covington is nestled in close to Bagietka, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Covington is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Covington looks for a takedown but Bagietka sprawls well.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Covington tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bagietka was well out of range. Poor timing from Covington.

We've been told by Bagietka's head coaches at Star Studded Beef that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Bagietka slaps away a takedown attempt from Covington, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bagietka lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Bagietka tries to bum rush Covington with a series of wild strikes but Covington uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kobe Covington is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Michal Bagietka.
I think Covington has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
