The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis Jr gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Ennis avoiding damage as Davis Jr throws knees to the body.
Davis Jr is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ennis to keep the fight standing.
Davis Jr is looking to take this one to the mat.
Davis Jr gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Ennis regains guard.
Davis Jr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ennis looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Davis Jr darts in looking for a takedown but Ennis gets double underhooks and turns Davis Jr into the cage.

Davis Jr seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ennis for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ennis manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Davis Jr gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ennis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis Jr is defended easily by Ennis.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Ennis! But no joy.
Davis Jr throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ennis was covering up waiting for the punch and Davis Jr finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Davis Jr dives in and grabs Ennis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ennis pushes down on Davis Jr's head and hops out.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyron Lee Davis Jr.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Davis Jr, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
