Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Verekedos Istvan!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Istvan moves into range and clinches up with Jensen.
Jensen fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Istvan lands with a light punch inside.
Istvan tries to pull guard but Jensen forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jensen tries to pull guard but Istvan holds him up against the cage and eventually Jensen drops back down to his feet.
Jensen tries to pull guard but Istvan won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Jensen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jensen is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Istvan is trying to pull guard but Jensen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Istvan swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Istvan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Istvan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Jensen trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Istvan would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jensen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Jensen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jensen is trying to keep Istvan in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jensen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Istvan has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jensen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee calls for Istvan to work.

Jensen is trying to pull guard but Istvan has him pressed against the cage.

Jensen drags the fight down to the ground.

Jensen looking for a sweep. Not yet Jensen, not yet.
Jensen is working hard here to advance position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Verekedos Istvan dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Istvan gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Jensen trying to stall but Istvan improves his position.
Jensen stalling.
Jensen tries to pull guard but Istvan holds him up against the cage and eventually Jensen drops back down to his feet.
Jensen jumps guard but Istvan stands there with Jensen around his waist. Jensen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Istvan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Istvan takes the fight into the clinch.

Istvan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jensen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesse Jensen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jensen tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Istvan paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Istvan feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jensen sprawling to the canvas! Jensen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Istvan finish him?!


Jensen is rocked!


It looks like Jesse Jensen has been cut.

Istvan drives through and clinches with Jensen against the cage.
Oh Jensen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Istvan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Jensen uses from the top position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jensen trying to control the position from guard on top but Istvan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Jensen throws a big right hand that misses.
Istvan is pulling down on Jensen's head to control his posture.
Istvan looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Istvan can do anything to dispel that myth.

Istvan uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Istvan closes the distance looking for a takedown. Jensen stuffs it but Istvan still has hold of him. Istvan picks Jensen up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Istvan slams Jensen to the floor and that's really hurt Jensen - he doesn't know where he is! Istvan throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Verekedos Istvan!
