Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Herrera Jr (ranked 3750 p4p, 333 weight class) and Kleber Koike Erbst (ranked 4408 p4p, 374 weight class). Jackson Herrera Jr has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jackson Herrera Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kleber Koike Erbst! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Herrera Jr shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Koike Erbst is trying to defend but Herrera Jr finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Koike Erbst tries to get to full guard but Herrera Jr has control of the leg. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Herrera Jr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Koike Erbst is just riding it out for now. Herrera Jr eventually gives up the hold. Koike Erbst is not content to let Herrera Jr control the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Herrera Jr is looking for a kimura but Koike Erbst is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Herrera Jr to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Herrera Jr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Koike Erbst does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Koike Erbst is concentrating on defense, preventing Herrera Jr from advancing position. Koike Erbst is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Koike Erbst is not content to let Herrera Jr control the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Herrera Jr is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Koike Erbst is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Herrera Jr is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Herrera Jr scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Herrera Jr is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Koike Erbst sees it coming and defends easily. Koike Erbst controlling the position for now. Koike Erbst is continuing to stall. Herrera Jr really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

We've been hearing good reports from Herrera Jr's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Koike Erbst is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Koike Erbst looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Herrera Jr sitting in guard here, content to control. Koike Erbst is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Herrera Jr defends well.

Koike Erbst escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Herrera Jr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Koike Erbst seems keen to control Herrera Jr's posture.

Now he's in top in Herrera Jr's guard. Koike Erbst controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Koike Erbst's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Herrera Jr closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Herrera Jr lands in his opponent's guard. Koike Erbst working for a triangle but Herrera Jr defends it easily.

Herrera Jr looking for a sweep. Not yet Herrera Jr, not yet. Koike Erbst showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Herrera Jr can't keep his opponent in guard - Koike Erbst advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Herrera Jr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Koike Erbst is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Koike Erbst is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Herrera Jr has managed to free his arm - good work. Koike Erbst sitting and controlling from the half guard. Let's hope that Koike Erbst has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Herrera Jr is trying to control but can't.

Herrera Jr wants to get back to his feet. Koike Erbst takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Herrera Jr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Koike Erbst is working away from the top position though. Koike Erbst is figuring out what he wants to do next. Herrera Jr looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Kleber Koike Erbst. Well Herrera Jr has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today.
