Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eliseo Cannon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Abdul Raheem! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raheem misses with a double jab
and Cannon counters by clinching up. Raheem breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Abdul Raheem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Raheem throws out a loose jab but Cannon uses good head movement to avoid it. Cannon looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Cannon missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cannon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Raheem is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cannon is controlling him. Cannon decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cannon slips a jab and a cross from Raheem.

Cannon lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Raheem drives through with a takedown into guard. Cannon kicks Raheem off and gets to his feet. Cannon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Raheem missing with a left hand there. Cannon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. A telegraphed right hand from Raheem misses the target. Raheem throws a one two combo.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cannon showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Raheem.

Cannon is looking for a counter combo. Raheem lands with a nice combination. Cannon backs away looking to recover.
Cannon is rocked!
It looks like Eliseo Cannon has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Raheem misses with the combination.
Oh Cannon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Cannon tries to keep at a distance but Raheem has taken the fight into the clinch. Raheem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cannon seems to have got his legs back now. Raheem closes the distance looking for a takedown. Cannon stuffs it but Raheem still has hold of him. Raheem picks Cannon up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Raheem slams Cannon to the floor and that's really hurt Cannon - he doesn't know where he is! Raheem throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abdul Raheem!
