PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sydney Thift (ranked 2103 p4p, 255 weight class) and John Titor (ranked 891 p4p, 114 weight class). Titor has chosen John Titor-Going To Space as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Titor was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sydney Thift!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Titor!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Ben Watson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Titor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Thifts jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Thift shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Titor makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Sydney Thift seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Titor lands with a nice body punch.
Titor on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Titor accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

We've been informed that Titor has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thift is looking to get back to full guard here but Titor has managed to pass to side control instead.
You can see the frustration on Thift's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

John Titor decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
