Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tamid Nasib (ranked 796 p4p, 52 weight class) and Moganesh Jain (ranked 452 p4p, 26 weight class). Jain has chosen The Monkey King as his entrance music. Tamid Nasib is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tamid Nasib!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Moganesh Jain!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nasib looks to throw the jab but Jain is out of range.
Jain throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Jain pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jain swings for the body but Nasib moves out of range.
A jab from Nasib misses.
Jain moves out of range as Nasib strikes.
Jain jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jain misses the shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nasib swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nasib misses with a right hand
and Jain counters with a nice uppercut.
Jain throws a hook but Nasib blocks it.

Nasib lands a nice looking body shot.

Moganesh Jain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nasib takes one on the button.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nasib connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Jain throws a big shot that misses.
Nasib was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Nasib uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jain.
Nasib really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jain shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jain was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Jain is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nasib has escaped the position, nice work there.
Jain tries to advance to mount but Nasib instead regains half guard.

Jain wants to work for an arm triangle but Nasib is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Jain is trying to control. Nasib wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Jain wants to free his trapped foot but Nasib is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Jain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nasib keeps working.

Jain is trying to work for a kimura but Nasib is defending well.
Jain wants to pass to mount but Nasib is defending the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nasib is not content to let Jain control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jain trying to mount his opponent but Nasib defends it.
Jain is still trying to improve position.
Nasib wants to improve his position but Jain is controlling well.
Jain working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Nasib's thigh. Nasib counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Jain stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nasib swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nasib keeping moving, preventing Jain from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moganesh Jain dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Nasib ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nasib looks to land a right hand but Jain moved out of range.
Jain lands with an overhand left.
Jain throws a jab when Nasib was well out of range.
Nasib throws a lazy uppercut
and Jain counters with a nice uppercut.

Nasib gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jain to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Nasib tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jain tries to free his leg and advance position but Nasib is retaining full guard.
Jain passes Nasib's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Jain is looking for a kimura but Nasib is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Jain to get the leverage.

Nasib works his way to full guard. Good work.
Jain wants to pass the guard but Nasib is keeping the position.
Jain trying to control but Nasib is working from the bottom.
Jain advances to half guard.
Moganesh Jain has got the better of the ground game so far.
Jain works his foot free and advances to mount.
Jain takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Nasib manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Nasib won't allow Jain to pass to mount.
Jain is looking to pass Nasib's guard but actually Nasib recovers to full guard.

Jain wants to control but Nasib is keeping him busy.

Nasib tries to get to full guard but Jain has control of the leg.

Jain moves to the back position.
Jain is controlling the position but Nasib somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Jain wants to pass the guard but Nasib is defending well.

Jain wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nasib keeps working.

Jain fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nasib manages to avoid it.
Jain throws a jab but it's blocked by Nasib.
Jain fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Nasib steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jain.

Nasib takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Jain uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Jain has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

It looked like Nasib wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Tamid Nasib is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Nasib is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Jain lands with a light punch inside.

Jain gets control of Nasib's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jain will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Our spies down at at The Clinic inform us that Jain has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Nasib controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Jain looking for a guillotine here but Nasib defends easily.
Moganesh Jain is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Nasib has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Jain's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Moganesh Jain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In defeat, Tamid Nasib stepped up to the mic, saying 'Thanks for coming..I'll be back'.
