The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fitch, as that shot connected.
Fitch throws the left hand but Kholin avoids the punch easily.
Fitch misses with a wild body shot.
Fitch fails with a takedown attempt.

and Kholin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fitch misses with a hook.

Fitch shoots in for a double leg but Kholin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Dalinar Kholin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevor Fitch.

It looks like Trevor Fitch has been cut.
Fitch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kholin was well out of range. Poor timing from Fitch.
Kholin throws a series of strikes that have Fitch backpedaling.

Kholin throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Fitch goes for a double leg but Kholin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kholin continues to drive forward.

Kholin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

and Fitch takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kholin uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fitch.
Kholin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Iron mikes mma in the buildup to the fight.
Kholin lands a nice hook to Fitch's body. Fitch takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fitch takes a swing at Kholin's ribcage but misses.
Fitch has a takedown stuffed.
Fitch has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Trevor Fitch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kholin throws a right and a left that Fitch avoids nicely.

Fitch looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Kholin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Kholin seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

And Fitch tries to counter it with a takedown but Kholin pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Fitch shoots in for a takedown but Kholin shows good takedown defense.
It looked like Kholin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kholin throws a right hand that Fitch ducks under and follows up with a left that Fitch also avoids with ease.
Kholin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fitch has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Fitch throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kholin sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice body punch from Fitch.

Kholin sizes up Fitch with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Fitch is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Fitch shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kholin holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Fitch tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kholin just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kholin lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Kholin digs a right hand underneath Fitch's ribcage. Fitch let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Kholin has Fitch pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kholin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Fitch tumbling to the mat - Kholin dives into Fitch's guard.

Kholin content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Fitch has locked up a guillotine! Fitch's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kholin is holding on here and Fitch must be using up a lot of energy. Kholin has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Fitch gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
